Halloween and half-term
Listening to music is one of the only activities that uses 100% of your brain. - In that case, this blog will be done using 0% of my brain...
Song of this week - Jake Bugg - Two fingers
How's it going? This week has been one of the busiest and most fun half terms in my schooling education, nope, that didn't make sense. I've seen fireworks, halloween masks and a reflection of myself dancing which made me question my dignity for the 10000000th time.
Last Saturday
I spent last Saturday in Folkestone, in the town of all my dreams, if all my dreams were about a town which has really lost its shine, a town which if a bomb hit it, it would probably be an improvement. But it has charm...Well when I say charm I mean that it has my Nan and my best friend living there, apart from that its pretty grim.
Monday - The day of the crying lady
I have grown up in this part of Kent since the age of four, when we first moved here, instead of sending me to school on the first day, my parents took me to Dover castle, the key to England, with nearly 1000 years of history, although apparently this 1000 years of history isn't enough for visitors (me included) because English Heritage have recently put in lots of hands on things and spent quite alot of money making the place look slightly more realistic...Because that matters to general man from Dover in his tracksuit accompanied by rot viler and prison tag. Not to stereotype. The first photo was taken at Dover castle when I was curious to see what I'd look like with a shield in a battle, by the looks of it, I look pretty pathetic and if I was standing against Sauron in Lord of the rings, he would have broken me in half. My mum and I were standing in the great hall, which almost lives up to the name 'Great', I'd have given it the name 'adequate hall' so that expectations aren't smashed as soon as the 'great hall' turns out to be a broom cupboard with a little table. But I digress, the hall is pretty majestic, hence the last photo of the obviously fake crown jewels and a woman is standing opposite my mum and I, she was crying, in public, in front of people...So they could see her, I then realised that she was trying to talk to my mum and I, saying 'I just feel so emotional in this room', I guess my mum and I naturally ignore attention seekers who have watched too much 'Most haunted'.
Tuesday - The day of the pumpkins
Today, my friends Laura and Teddy came round and we carved pumpkins, it wasn't planned but after 2 hours of guitar hero, Teddy and I were pretty bored, the photos are above, including the moment where Laura got pretty annoyed with the way her pumpkin looked so decided to stab all the knives we were using into them, something tells me I wont be getting on the wrong side of her..., also the moment when we didnt have any candles so held the pumpkins up to my light to see what they'd look like.
Wednesday - Just dance, but not like that
This was the day that I woke up, realised my friends were coming round, Teddy and Arthur turned up and we played Xbox all morning, our particular favourite game was essentially just where we had to beat each other up, yeah, we're teenagers...easily amused, slightly damaged teenagers. In the evening, I had been invited...(probably invited myself) to a dinner that my parents were going to, Karen, the lady who's dinner it was actually reads my blog, I think, so Karen, kudos on the dinner, pretty damn good. Afterwards, I schooled her daughter on the nintendo wii and a game called 'Just dance', by 'schooling' her daughter, I mean I lost, really badly, one day I will get a rematch and win...
Thursday - Time to stick two fingers up to cancer
I woke up today realising that it was November, the first day of it infact and that 'Movember' had started. If you don't know what Movember is, it is where men grow mustaches to raise money and awareness of male cancers. I ask that you join me in my quest to grow a monstrosity on my face and donate to my 'Movember' page. The link is just below this. Please give what you can, anything will be appreciated.

Friday - Fireworks and Derren Brown
Today Laura and Teddy came over because they have a habit of living at my house, Teddy and Laura weren't in the mood to go and play a gig just up my road, and none of us were keen to pay £5 to watch some fireworks so we found an alternative - stay indoors, play guitar hero, watch television, eat pizza and relax. It came to 7 o'clock and I was just standing in the garden getting some air when a man with a megaphone suddenly blared out 'Are you ready Deal? The button will be pressed in 10 minutes and the fireworks will be launched', I ran inside grabbed coats, Teddy and Laura and we stood outside, while our faces lit up, who knew applying heat to different metals combined with gunpowder would be so beautiful? (The Chinese). I lived so close to the place that the fireworks were being launched from that there was no need to pay money, it was a lovely night.
Until next week
Will :)
